Thanks this has been so helpful. I've gotten my books for my pre-req's and I plan on giving them a good look through this weekend before classes start since the Professor had time to email the students his Syllabus and Lecture Notes. How exciting..

Ohhh Jjlaman - sorry but I "over-read" (over heard) lol - your conversation about the DvD's that you have.. Would you be so kind as to share them with me as well. I can get you recordable DVD's if you'd like and I'd be more than happy to share them along with my fellow students, if that helps you out as well.. It's the greatest feeling, to come into a room and have that knowlege of preparation! YAY
Sorry, this is why I am going to deal with just one person. If I responded to each and every person that asked me for copies, how long do you suppose that would take me to do? I just don't have the time. When I served as student nursing association president, I got a hold of alot of stuff through various sources and shared it with alot of people (and I am still providing for those in other levels). At one point, I held a meeting and brought with me 60 copies of one program just to hand out. Think of how long that took me to do.

Things we're different when I was a student as I would be on campus just about everyday but I am sure you can understand that now that I have graduated, I have other things going on in my life that take priority (I am still preparing for my NCLEX). Once I get with Eddie, I will provide him with the copies as long as he replaces my disks. From that point, you will have to get them from him and copy them (thats what us fellow students did, passed good stuff around). Other things he will receive from me will be through email that he will have to download and some he won't receive until he has completed each level (no reason to hand out level 4 stuff if you havent gotten through level 1 yet). I actually have alot to go over with him when we meet up and I am sure he will share this information with the others in his class. Very good piece of advice: spend time in the nursing computer lab and befriend those in other levels. You never know what they can provide for you.

Yeah, I'll say! The only time I experience true discomfiture was the first night though; the room was so BITTERLY cold that I couldn't concentrate on anything but the fact that I felt like I was in a meatlocker!

Plus, as I told you Saturday in the nursing lab, I apparently chose the wrong section, lol. I went to the gym with a friend today who apparently knows one of my professors from HoHoKus school and the professor's reputation precedes her there...sheesh!

Oh well....it is what it is. I'm not going to get discouraged just yet, not after scrapping for my spot in this program!

You have to get a pass from your counselor to go down to the testing center and take the NET. I believe you only have to get a 50 to pass. As far as I know, your actual score doesn't really matter so much; it's just either you pass or fail. Your GPA also isn't taken into consideration. You must just pass the NET to get into the Nursing Program.

Then they really have changed things. After completing the Pre-reqs, I submitted an application to the Nursing program. There was a deadline for the applications to be submitted. Spring candidates had an October deadline. the Nursing Dept gave me the scheduled time to take the Accuplacer.....not my counselor. Maybe the process has changed along with the switching to the NET.

they lowered the GPA requirements from 3.0 to 2.5, last semester, but I see its back up to 3.0 again.

Ohh I was talking about Brookdale Community College (ANOTHER BCC) my bad. Here, regardless of your grades, it's a two year waiting list.
