Anywhoo, the private schools are definitely appealing because you don't have to jump through as many hoops. They are way more expensive though. Also, if you decide to go on and earn your BSN and MSN, some of the credits may not transfer. Make sure you ask the school recruiter specifically about this if it's something that interests you.

kaplan and carrington are not the same school. carrington was called apollo and they are at the end of the teach-out of their las vegas adn program.
it is worth noting that even-though carrington has a new name they are still owned by the same corporation (devry university). they changed their name to reflect a new image they are trying to create. so far the changes seem to be paying off. their adn programs across the country have see exceptionally better nclex pass rates.
kaplan was just approved for their adn program. they have not graduated any rn's yet. their lpn program is relatively new and has done exceptionally well gaining full board approval in about a year.
- 0Aug 2 by SlinkyheadRNHi! I wanted to update that I graduated in December of 2014. I loved the program, it was cheap, legitimate and most instructors were very knowledgeable and helpful. I would go again if I had to go back in time.
Oh btw I passed NCLEX first try with Kaplan online review to prepare.
