CSN RN FALL 2013

Anyone here applying for fall? :)

From what I understand if you get a call you're in or you're an alternate. You will only get a letter by mail if its bad news. For my class they called on Thursday and you had to go in the following Wednesday to sign for your acceptance letter/paperwork. If you weren't able to make it that day, they give up your spot, so you better be there!

Ugh freaking out a little! So I called the limited entry office and she wouldn't comment on any dates or time frames for calls, packet pick ups, or orientation. I have my little brothers wedding to go to in Kansas the weekend of May 4th and was planning on leaving May 2nd. I have no idea what to do now :(

Orientation 1 is May 20th. #2 is August 5th. I called and bc I live in Ohio, she said they could fax the ''acceptance'' and I would sign and fax it back. So, if you are out of town, hopefully you can get to a fax machine.

I would call the nursing department directly. They had more info for me at this time than the LE office did.

Thanks Christina! I will try that tomorrow!

I was curious if anybody knew anything about the rumors of getting rid of Chem 110 and 111? I know NSC has Chem 112, which is a combo class of 110 and 111, but I heard CSN was getting rid of those and switching to 112. Anybody know if this is a rumor or when it would be taking affect? I'm currently finishing 110 and am a little curious as to why the change. (I know this is only used in a BSN, but always planning ahead.) :)

Thanks guys for all the information!Whew! I will be looking forward to May 2nd

Is anyone registering for the toolbox class yet? I'm wondering if it's something we should do or if there are usually enough spots open to accommodate all nursing students?

Hi Clynne, can you keep us updated as to what the Chem requirements will be? This is all news to me!

I was wondering the same thing. Is the tool-box class something that is offered to nursing students only? Or is it something we need to register for, like now?!?

I am working on getting more information regarding the Chem classes, so as soon as I know something, I will keep you updated! :)

I wouldn't register for it until they accept you, but once you're accepted, register right away so the section that you want doesn't fill up. I would take a look at the times now to see what works for you. I think she will be offering 4 sections this summer. I highly recommend it! If I didn't take it, I would have been excused from the program because there is no way that I would have learned that stuff on my own! And yes, it is for nursing students only. But the good thing is, once you pay the tuition once, she will let you sit in the class each semester as many times as you need to since she teaches math that you will need for 1st, 2nd & 3rd semester. "She" is a wonderful teacher and I wish I could post names :p pm me if you want the teacher's name :)
