Nice to meet you Kelsey! My name is eric. So yeah, all that's left for me to do is the "CITI" training (halfway through) and the immunization. Just curious, is the financial aide viewable? I didn't see anything for mine. Other than that, I can't wait. Gonna be an interesting experience because I'm from Chino Hills, CA! Last time I was in Lincoln was back in November when I flew in for my interview. One thing I'm not looking forward to is the move from CA to NE because I'm driving my car! Do you know anybody else in our class and how many of us are there in the Lincoln division?

Hi Eric! Nice to meet you also! I just finished all of the compliances and CITI training! Thank goodness! I just have one TB test left for the immunizations, so I'm excited to get that sent in as well! I haven't been able to view anything for financial aid. I did apply for the scholarships, but that is about it! California! That will be a big change! I've been in Nebraska basically all of my life. It's a good place, and Lincoln isn't a bad city to live in! I do not know anyone else in our class. I think total the accelerated programs have about 45 students on all three campuses (I think!). So I think there will probably be around 15 in our class maybe? That's a guess though! Just order the scrubs and polos! Getting excited! See you in May!

Congratulations! I am currently in the ABSN in Scottsbluff. This year we had 50 all together and I believe 8 are in Lincoln, 10 are here in Scottsbluff and 32 in Omaha. If you have any specific questions about the program, I can try to answer them for you!

For anybody who knows this, when is the deadline for the 2014-2015 financial aid? I'm sure that we have to apply again since the first time we applied for financial aid is for the 2013-2014 year

I'm applying this fall for the accelerated program and I'm curious about how much nursing experience the accepted applicants had. I'm going to take a CNA class in a couple months, but otherwise I don't have any nursing experience.

I have no nursing experience BUT I have an EMT license (but haven't used it because I couldn't find a job with my schedule since I was a full time student) and I also volunteered in the Emergency Room shadowing/assisting the Doctors/PA's/Nurses at Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Medical Center for about 1 1/2 years on top of what else is on my resume. Honestly, my best advice is keep doing what you're doing, build your resume, have good letter of recommendations, have a good personal statement, and DO GOOD on your pre-requisites

I have no nursing experience! I was pre-med when I was obtaining my bachelor's degree; therefore, I have a lot of job shadowing (Dr's, PA's, and NP's). I also had a 3.8 GPA and was involved in quite a few activities! I don't think a CNA class is a bad idea! You can get in without it though if you have a good GPA, involvement in school, and a good interview :)

I loved the program. I was on the scottsbluff campus and it was great because we really received one on one experience with all of our clinicals. I passed NCLEX on my first try with 80 questions and currently work at a level one trauma center in Denver. You are definitely treated like an adult learner, you have to schedule things on your own sometimes but I liked having some of that flexibility too. Good luck! Also, being 12 months was great for me, it's over before you know it.

Eoduca (or anyone else who was accepted to the Accelerated Program),

Has it been overwhelming taking the program in an Accelerated format? Do you feel it has impacted your GPA?

On average (not necessarily looking for the most intense times) how much time would you say you spend in a week on things related to school (studying/classes/clinicals, etc.)?
