Which Review To Do???

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I will be graduating in two weeks and I am planning on taking the NCLEX the second or third week of June. I currently have the Lippincott's Q&A Review textbook, along with Saunders Comprehensive Review, and the Kaplan NCLEX-RN book. I plan to use these for more questions, and specific topic review based on how I do on the review course I plan to use. That being said, I am so stuck on which review program to use. I have always said throughout nursing school that I would used Kaplan before taking the exam. Yet, I have done pretty well on the ATI predictor we take in school (the first time, a high 90% pass rate). Anyone have advice on the Kaplan Online Anywhere or NCSBN programs? I know that the Kaplan program is said to be more for strategy. All advice appreciated. I have heard very little things about NCSBN, heard people say they like it while others did not. Thank you in advance!!

I took the Kaplan live program I think about 2 weeks before taking the test which I passed on the first try. Being a foreign nurse it helped tremendously because the critical thinking component is completely different from what I was taught where I'm from. So I would definitely recommend it.

Good luck!

Hurst for content. Kaplan for strategies. I know 3 people who used NCSBN (NCSBN is based more on reading and etc.) and they all passed but they all used other materials to study as well. It all comes down to what you NEED.

I would just make sure to know your content, do questions (the new Saunders Q&A is based on the NCLEX categories), and know your test-taking strategies. Continue to have faith, positivity, and confidence...and you WILL PASS! YOU AN DO IT :D
