What is the best test taking strategy for Select All That Apply Questions?

i recommend you go through kaplan test taking strategy

it helps me a lot besides that know the content of the question well

before you select your answer

I hate them as well!!! After I reword the question I go through each answer and ask myself if it's true or false in relation to the question.. Seems to help most of the time!

sata was a real pain. and i got a lot of them when i took my exam. three things that helped me make it were the following:

1. i did practice tests.

2. i brushed up on content.

3. i did not rush. i took time in understanding the question and choices.

I failed the nclex several times. I purchased lippincott's alternate-format questions book. The last time i tested i had about 25 sata. I passed with 90 questions. The book was very helpful. Hope this helps....................good luck

Passed nclex last Thursday with 75 questions. I kept a tally of med questions, sata, ones I knew I got right and ones I knew I missed.

I wound up with 38 select all that apply. Yes 38 of them. I hate them but I had to deal with them and this is how I approach them.

Look at the question and figure out what they are asking. Then look at the available answers. See which ones do not belong and eliminate them. Then look at the remaining and see if there are obvious right answers. Then see if the remaining answers could be grouped somehow to the answers you picked. If yes I would pick them also. If not I would ignore them.

Remember just because it is ' select all that aPply does not mean you have to pick more than one.
