I'm almost on the verge of panic, but not quite yet. I've been doing fairly well with the Saunders (89% on the last practice exam I did - averaging 70-80's in the past week overall). I've done a couple other practice exams as well and have been doing quite well with content questions, but some of the priority ones are killing me. I've got CNA/LPN/RN assignment down, but can't seem to get any room assignment type questions right, who to see first is pretty shakey too (unless the answers include a new admit). I'm going to spend the last few study hours left working through LaCharity's Prioritization, Delegation & Assignment workbook.

My plan is to stop all studying at noon tomorrow and try to relax and do somemthing distracting. I doubt if that's how it will acutally work out, but it's my goal. I've been obessively checking allnurses & the NCLEX forum especially during my study breaks. Reading all the "I PASSED!" threads has been morale boosting.

I cased out the testing center this afternoon - found where I'm going to park and got a little tour of the center from the procter (they didn't have anyone testing at the time). She suggested wearing a sweater because the room gets pretty chilly - good to know! The center has a pretty warm and clean vibe - incandescent lighting and soft colors on the walls. The tour was an excellent way to discharge some of the pre-NCLEX jitters - I highly recommend everyone drive to the center early and check it out before test day.

Back to the books! Wednesday is the big day! :studyowl:

Driving to the center and getting familiar was the right thing to do, it will take some of that anxiety out of test day. Some. Quitting studying at noon on Tuesday is another brilliant move. Do not do what someone I know did and answer hundreds of NCLEX questions up to test time. His brain was fried going into the exam. Not good. So not only quit studying, but do something very fun or relaxing the night before. Go see a movie you've been wanting to see or whatever you really find to be fun. The last thing I suggest is a good night's sleep. Hit that test as refreshed as possible. With the kind of scores you've been getting on Saunders and the attention you're paying to delegating and prioritizing, I would bet money that you're going to do just fine on this exam. I hope you get quick results in your state, I'll be checking back to see how it went. Good luck to you!
