Studying for NCLEX, where to begin?? plz HELP!

Hello everyone!

I just graduated from an ADN program last Friday and now I am on the road to preparing for the NCLEX. Only problem is, I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO START. It seems very difficult to just get going. Days before graduation our class took an ATI review course so my first study day I began with ATI. However, I get the feeling like I'm doing something wrong.

The books I currently have are:

Saunders Review 4 edition (is it still useful?)

ATI NCLEX-RN review book

ordered Lacharity and exam cram

Kaplan 2010 ( is it useful?)

I know some of my books are not the most current but with money being tight I don't know if I should invest in the current editions or if the 2010 editions will work just fine?

Also, is ATI even helpful for studying for NCLEX or am I just wasting my time?

If anyone has ANY comments on what worked for them and insight on how to point me in the right to direction to getting started it would really be appreciated!:specs:

Hey d_martinez09,

How bout starting by assessing you weakness?..

I started with LaCharity Book coz it is more of like the exam questions.

Then I did contents simultaneously.. Just pick one book/ review materials at a time.

Well my weakness was basic care and comfort but not all the books have this as a section. Do you think I should start with saunders and review each chapter? or do i just do questions? i am sooo confused lol

@ d_martinez09 - As for me, I would brush up contents first then answer 10-25questions on a topic you wanna start with (Basic Care and Comfort), so you can see what you still know.

But of course, it always your choice. :)
