Sata

Nursing Students NCLEX

Are these type of questions a higher point question? Like if ur doing well then they give u sata?

Yes, they are higher order questions according to my Kaplan instructor. So you do want them, but I know I hate seeing them when they come up.

I also heard they were higher level questions...AFTER I had taken the test haha. Your heart does sink a little each time one pops up..

Does the results show u how close u were to passing or anything of that juncture ?

The NCSBN test plan says that the SATA questions carry as much weight as all other test items. That some are written at the passing level, whereas others are written at the failing level. Though no matter what I hate them with a passion and whoever created them and got them into the test bank is the spawn of Satan.

We were never told about sata. Please inform me what they are... Forget this ? I figured it out when reading some othe posts. TY honeyortar

Ahh... thank you. I keep seeing SATA all over the board, but wasn't sure what it stood for.

MissHaleyDawn, hi, how did you like NCSBN review? Did it help you with NCLEX style questions? How many weeks did you do with NCSBN?

I didn't do the NCSBN NCLEX review. I just went to their website and looked at all the published info they had on questions and the exam in general to calm me down. I test this Friday, June 29. I've done Kaplan and have used a little from two different Lippincott's Q&A books. I've heard mixed reviews about NCSBN from people around AllNurses...but seeing as they are the guys who write the exam test bank and their course is only $50, I don't see it as a make-or-break investment if you're curious. Certainly not compared to all the other review courses and their fees!!

Good luck to you. :)

I will be taking the NCLEX next month.

Do you feel ready for NCLEX?

Thank you! Good luck to you as well! I go between thinking "I can do this, I'm just swinging by to pick up my license," to "Oh my God, what I am doing? Did I even learn anything in nursing school? What the heck is a spleen!?" LOL
