The Pearson Vue Trick & NCLEX

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello all,

I took the NCLEX RN exam earlier today and tried the PVT. I get a pop up saying "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time."

Is this the good pop up?

Thank you! :)

Yup!

From what I am hearing it is. I did it yesterday and I got the same message, looks like I will have to wait until Monday to see anything official. I am so frustrated right now. I understand why Pearson would not want to reveal results right on the spot but you should at least be able to check when you get home. My nerves are frazzled, 75 questions and just like that it was over. Everything I have been working for just hanging in the balance. Trying to figure out what I will do this weekend to keep my mind off things. Good luck to you.

I got the same message. It seems like they changed the message because if you look at older boards (even from just last month), the good pop up said to contact state board of nursing after it says you can not register at this time. However, people are saying they changed the message to just say you can not register at this time.

thank for you all the information. I guess I understand why Pearson doesn't release the scores; imagine the chaos in the testing room! and regarding the pop up, I did notice that people had been getting different messages, hence my confusion. I'm just hoping that the pop up we all got is the good one :)) we've all worked too hard for this!

By the way, I was told that it can take up to 48 hours (business days). I don't know about other states, but that's what they said for New York State. That means it could take until Tuesday to hear results.

are you referring to the "quick results?" I'm from texas and according to peers, they said it took approximately 48 before they were able to pay for the "unofficial" result.

The "quick results" are still unofficial but 100% reliable as far as passing the NCLEX is concerned. Not all states participate in that though. The NCLEX is basically a pass/fail exam so scores like we're used to getting in school won't be at all useful. Depending upon the actual level of the question you could have a very LOW percentage but still pass, in theory, because of how the exam is designed.

The key part of the "good popup" is that your records aren't on hold and the system won't let you pay to reschedule. There are a couple slightly different popups that I've seen so far, so it's not the exact content that matters, only that your "delivery is successful" and you can't reschedule because it won't let you.

Ok, this is becoming painful. Listen up :)

The popup messages are varied. If it says your results are on hold, it means ONLY that: neither good nor bad. If your message says something about contacting the BON, fine. If not...fine too. As long as SOMEHOW it says "you cannot register for an exam at this time". Please don't keep flipping out over the wording.

Anything that takes you to the CC page is considered 'bad'.

People pass and fail with all of the above. GREAT majority pass with 'good' popup, but some have failed anyway. Vice-versa with 'bad' one.

Quick Results are obtainable in most States, not all. If your SBON participates, you can pay eight bucks in 48 hours for the results of your exam. It is NOT proof you will receive a license, only the exam results. If you have something that will prevent you from licensure, that's another topic entirely.

Does that help?

LOL, you submitted faster than me! :D

Thanks everyone! :)

Hi,

Just wanted to give you an update as to what happened. I got the "good" pop up and it proved to be correct because I passed and my license is posted! I found out because I couldn't stand it anymore and paid the fee for the quick results from Pearson. My state's BON was taking entirely too long, I know it had not been officially 48 business hours yet but it had been nearly 96 clock hours and when I saw it was nearly 3pm, that was it for me. I broke and paid the fee. Wouldn't you know it wasn't ten minutes later and my license was posted, very annoying. But my excitement definitely outweighed that. Hopefully you are no longer waiting and have received good news also. Best wishes.
