Pass the NCLEX

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello, I just wanted to share my experience with the nurse nightmare better known as Nclex :)

I will make my story short… I graduated in a foreign country May 2014 so English is not my primary language and my education was not in English either, saying that I took my 1st Nclex attempt on Nov2014 thinking It was going to be easy since I was an honor student in college and the result was (Fail w 75Q's), took it again after studying with Hurts review on Jan2015 (Fail w 75Q's), I decided to pay for Remars review (Really good and easy with content) when back on April 2015 (Fail w 105Q's) at this point I was like really? I made a study plan, do research and use Saunders book and flash cards for meds so I decided to give it a try again for the 4th time on Sep2015 got 175 Q's and run out of time the test was really stressful and hard honestly, but I walked away thinking that I had pass this time because I took the time to answer each question, Well (Fail) once again. At this point I was ready to give up my dream so I let it be. Jan 2016 I see myself struggling to support my kids since I am a young single mother and ask my daughter who is 13 if I should try again and her answer was mom you can do this, after 4yrs in collage, working full time at the same time and dealing with us, yeah you can do this” with tears in my eyes I look at myself in the mirror and said ‘I have to do this & I can do this' so I pay a Kaplan review (This is the only things that actually works) that was the best decision ever. Kaplan provide you with the most up to date info, strategies, team support at the moment for every question you may have and the most accurate Nclex test type practice. So this time I did everything Kaplan told me to do exactly as they told me to do it, I study with them for 2 months and went to test for time #5 April 2016 (125Q's PASS) while I was taking this test I knew I was going to pass because in my mind I was like this is another Kaplan practice test. All together I end up spending about $1,850 plus time, frustration's and tears; Yeah a lot but today I got my 1st paycheck as a RN-BSN and it was almost double that amount so end of story is for all of those thinking about giving up PLEASE DON'T keep trying is worth it! It takes a lot of dedication, a plan, a few bucks, prayers and believe in yourself you all can do this after going thru such a hard time in collage! Best wishes to all and good luck!
