Nursing Students NCLEX

Not in that order of course! lol I got 57 on the diagnostic and 62 on the readiness. I hope thats good so far. This Kaplan class is killing me!! It has been way intense! Has anyone else felt this way? I dont know that I want to exactly rate their plan now, hoping to report good news after NCLEX. It is not what I thought at all. Just kinda wondering what everyone else has experienced with them??? It's hard to argue with a 94% passing rate though....

I got 60 on the diagnostic and 66on the readiness after I used KAPLAN 10 days, but i belive you will do better after you test more from QBANK! good luck!

I just started Kaplan's course but my scores on my test don't make sense. I got a 65% on the diagnostic test and so far I took question trainer 1 and 2 (the two easier tests) and I got low 50s. Also whenever I do qbank questions my score is always in the low 50s. Grrr...

The program does seem a bit intense. Sitting in front of a computer for hours every day is DRIVING ME CRAZY :banghead:! What I try to keep in mind is that they obviously know what they're doing because they have such a high pass rate.

Just keep thinking to yourself- "this month is going to be hell with all the studying but this time next month I'll officially be an RN!" That's what I do.

Just a few more weeks.. It's almost over!!

Good luck!

In honesty, don't rely too much on the scores you receive for your test. My friend who took the kaplan review course had 50-60's throughout her test and for the question trainer 7 she received a 53%.

She took the nclex and passed with 75 questions.

On the other hand, I had a 63 for my question trainer 7 and I failed my first attempt at the nclex.

Wannabern-

I'm sorry to hear that you had a hard time w/the NCLEX. :icon_hug: I can't imagine the stress of taking that test. I'm not taking it until the end of June but just thinking about it now makes me want to throw up!!!

I'm curious, did you do all the questions in qbank? How are you studying this time for the NCLEX?

I got really frustrated last night at how bad I was doing with Kaplan so I did some Saunders questions (which are SO much easier than Kaplan.) That boosted my confidence until this morning when I watched the content review of safety and infection control and realized how much information I forgot/didn't learn in nursing school!

Good luck studying!! Please keep me posted!

Ok, you guys are freaking me out. I nearly vomitted when I got my ATT last week. I left the house went, shopping (therapy!!), then came home and scheduled my test. Took my Kaplan diagnostic yesterday and start Kaplan review today. I hope that I feel more confident after the review and make decent scores on my qbank and trainer quizes to help boost my confidence.

A couple of student s from my class test tomorrow, so we'll see how things go.

Good luck and my prayers to all.

I had 73% on readiness test and I got 59% on question trainer 6, I'm worried. I really want to focus on QT 7 and make sure I get more than 65% this time. I will review rationale of QT 6 and review some nursing content. obviously, psych question, that make my score really low.. since i started practicing this Kaplan course. well, good luck to everyone.. I'm going to take NCLEX next month..

Ugh I agree about how hard kaplan is. I excelled (well not really excelled...but I at least passed) saunders and lippencott and all the other practice tests I have taken. But on the questions trainers I have gotten 57%, 64% and another 57%...I am waiting to take trainer #4 until I practice with more qbank questions...but I am not doing so hot on those either.

I am curious to know if the nclex questions are as hard as kaplan. If they are I am screwed :(

I was feeling the same way. I have the meds to review in the blue kaplan book, I feel like the rest of the book has been helpful. Today I have been getting 65 and 70 on qbank. I'm so inconsistant!

I got 67% on the readiness and 63% on the diagnostic and passed with 75 questions last week. I was getting hig 50's to low 60's on Qbank. Hope that helps a bit! Good luck on the NCLEX!
