Hello to everyone

Everyone is welcome to join this group. lets study together share views and give each other support and encouragement.

Who had passed exam your views, encouragement, advice would be appreciated.

By God grace we will pass this exam.

I am doing content write now. I did questions before I did not pass . So now going to concentrate more on content.

Any advise or tips .

I took the NCLEX-RN this afternoon and I was super nervous and sure I failed. I cried from my the Pearson centre through the 25mins drive home which seemed so long. I have finally gathered some confidence to check the Pearson vue trick. I am getting a good pop up. I hope it works.

:yelclap::yelclap::yelclap::ancong!::dancgrp:YOU PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!!

Congrats never stop smiling.. I've been out of track from my study plan coz of some important family matter, and to be honest I lost hope, strength, courage and confidence to go back and study.. Been really so down, but while reading your posts made me feel somehow that there's a rainbow after the rain. I can't afford to fail this time. I just don't know how and where to start..

May i suggest u some study plan that i used to do.

I started with 4000quest cd(75-150 quest /day).I carefuly red rationals, trying to understand why should i answer one way over another. For example:

1st quest: pt tells the nurse , that he has a pain and requesting for medication.

answer: you have to assess first, coz u don't know how severe his pain is.

2nd quest: pt tells the nurse, that he has a SEVERE pain and requesting for medication.

answer: implement( give the med), coz aqssessment (SEVERE PAIN) already done in the question.

Pay attention to the priority pt.( i posted erlier), it helped me a lot.

and then i chose one material( it's very important t stick to one book, one notes, otherwise u'll be confused), and red whenever i feel weeknes to answer questions corectly.

i divided meds by group and learned them by endings, don't be scared from them( i've got only 6 medication on the test).

After a while i did Lacharity book, it helped me in deligation questions. That was my plan.

I wish u very best of luck , my friend, and please, don't loose ur hope.Just study and believe. God bless u.:)

Congrats on your exam, thank you for all your words of encouragement.thank for all the tips that you posted on this forum. I am having my exam in september, I am starting to freak out already. Being a single mom with a teenage son and full time job is not easy. I can fill other members pain too. I am loosing focus sometimes, and then I feel guilty if I spend time away from my books. I am almost done revewing for the second time Saunders. I have an some Kaplan Material from 2008 when I didnt pass but I am trying not to get to confused. I am praying a lot that this time I will pass. I am determined not to give up and use the last 2 months just doing 150 questions a day and read the rationale. I am scared about the medications... did you say the nursing exell 10 day course was $500?

I used Saunders 5th edition for review( I really needed it) and using nclex 3500 for questions and also kaplan qt trainer 1-7.

For everyone who will take nclex in July I whish them good luck and may God be with all of us that will sit sooner or later on exam chair. God bless everyone!:)

Thank u so much. yes , nursing exell cost $500. I know the price is sky-high, but it worth it. It helped me a lot. Good luck .:)

Yes, that link should work. I felt stuck, and just went into my 4th attempt; just not getting as much done each day as I'd hoped from playing the waiting game. Failing is not an option and it can't happen.

Hi guys just one Q? I just read in one of the Kaplan Qbank. That chickenpox(varicella) is spread by direct contact & droplets. Any thoughts?

:tku:Good luck!

:ancong!: to all the NCLEX passers! :) You are all truly an inspiration. Congrats NEVER STOP SMILING! :))))

I am new to allnurses looking for some words of encouragement and lots of motivation! I think I found the right place. There are lots of great things that I read in the blog I feel could really help me.

I feel like I've waited so long to take the NCLEX (Graduated May 2011, but completed clinical nursing courses back in August last year). I am battling fear and anxiety along with weakness in the Physiology content. I took the Kaplan review program in April and didn't quite reach the recommended benchmark for sitting to take test (60-65%). I always stay in 50's range. Any tips of review or study plans on how to do better, I would really appreciate it :)

I have the Saunders 5th edition, Kaplan Course book, ATI 2007 books and the Kaplan NCLEX-RN Strategies, practice and review book with me. Its overwhelming. I am starting to think maybe I should just retake Kaplan (payment of $250 administrative fee).

If anyone has any tips on better review on content or NCLEX in general would help me alooot! I need all your advices! THANK YOU!!

God Bless and goodluck to those taking the NCLEX soon!

:tku::tku::tku::grpwlcm:I took Kaplan too back in 2009. But it didn't work 4 me. I also took nsbn, didn't work either. My sugestion will be NURSING EXELL, kinda expensive($500), but really worth it. It helped me pass the test(actually , friend of mine took it, & shared info with me). Also i would recomend Lacharity book. One more thing- stick to one study material.Good luck
