Hi!!! I'm a registered nurse in the Philippines and I would like to take the nclex-rn in Virginia. So what books can you recommend for me? and what review center can i go here in virginia? I visited KAPLAN website it seems good.

Does anyone here reviewed on KAPLAN how was it?? which is best? the classroom setting or the online review???

There are so many books to choose from I'm so confused on which is the BEST BOOK THAT COULD REALLY HELP ME IN PASSING THE NCLEX-RN EXAM.

I work with a nurse here in Georgia who is originally from the Phillipines. He is the one who recommended that I get Kaplan's Strategies, Practices, and Review 2010-2011 edition when I was about to take boards over a year ago. I did and I passed on the first attempt. I highly recommend this review book! I passed it on a while back to another nurse, who has since passed boards while using it. Good luck!

Kaplan was the only book that I read....cover to cover twice, no workshops. I only studied for about 8 hours total due to excessive burnout with studying and exams. The book was very helpful, keeping in mind that I had years on top of years of med/surg experience. I think the amount of studying does depend upon your choice in study material as well as prior knowledge. Use whatever you think you may need but I truly believe Kaplan will be enough.
