Hi Zar, I had touched on your question in another post by decided to address it here as well. I waited 11 days for some inkling about my results here in NC. I lived in MA, went to school there, and took the NCLEX there before moving down to NC. I was expecting to get my results via finding my name on the NC licensure verification website. After about 5 days and no listing, I was really getting nervous. I found out that the NC Board of Nursing would only issue licenses on most Tuesdays and some Fridays (so there was no point for me worrying on the days in between those). I kept checking and checking and still nothing. I was so discouraged and then I received a letter 11 days later saying that I had passed my test, but the results from the background check had not been received yet, hence no license had been issued. It took about another week before that occurred.

It is my understanding that the testing center has up to 30 days to get results to the respective Board of Nursing. So really, it can take that long, although in most cases the hold up lies somewhere in the Board of Nursing process. If your address has changed then it will take longer for the letter to be forwarded. I am not sure how long the average wait is in PA, but I do know that in some states people do wait a few weeks for results.

I know you are probably thinking and preparing for the worst, but hang in there because some good news could very well be on its way to you! Best of luck! :)
