i got my letter in the mail letting me know that i failed, i feel so disappointed, i studied a whole month before the state test, i literally studied 6 hours a day everyday since i do not work. i feel discouraged. i used the nclex exam cram pn, i did all the questions in that cd. i even bought the mary hogan book but i feel as if that book just has way too much information to even get through my head. that book is bigger than a bible. i dont know how to study.. any tips on what materials to use for studying??

Hello, I'm sorry to hear that. I bought the Mary Hogan book while in school, yes, I agree, it's too much for NCLEX. I am studying for the PN exam now. I just started the review on the NCSBN website, and have also been using the Saunders review book. Have you considered either of those? You can do this! Good luck! 😊

Remember the MaryAnn Hogan PDA book is intended for NCLEX-RN candidates not PN candidates so it's often too much (overkill) for PN students. Many PN candidates prefer NCLEX-PN prep from Kaplan, Hurst, or Saunders.

Take your candidate performance report and see where your area(s) of weakness are so that you can create a targeted study plan. If US educated, contact your school for help as they have a vested interest in your passing the NCLEX-PN as a program graduate.
