NCLEX early?

I am in an accelerated second bachelors of science in nursing program that is one year in length. My program consists of 3 semesters. After the second semester we are done with all the classes required for taking the NCLEX-RN. Our third semester consists of leadership, community health, and bioethics courses.

My question is:

Will I be allowed to take the NCLEX early (after my second semester is completed and I have my transcripts), even though I will not be done with my BSN.

Does anyone have any information about this?

If you have graduated with an Associates in nursing you can. If you have not graduated, you can not.

You will have to wait for your school to send out your transcript to the BON, which usually takes place after graduation.

Look at your state's BON website for requirements to sit for the nclex.

I guarantee the answer is "no" (one of the main requirements is that you COMPLETE an approves program) but it'll give you a concrete answer.

you have to have a DEGREE from an accredited nursing school - whether that degree is ASN or BSN or you're in an accelerated or part time program, you need to have graduated or you will not be authorized to test. this is actually a fairly long process - after graduating, the school has to send in your final transcript to the state (and guess how bogged down they'll be) and you have to apply to take the exam. 3-4 weeks later the state will give you your ATT (authorization to test) and then you can go online with Pearson Vue and schedule the exam.
