My timeline: for ATT, including board app process

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I googled this so many times and never found an answer. I am sure it can vary from state-to-state and from different times of the year but here is my timeline:

3/19 send complete application via US mail (fingerprints completed 2 days prior and pearson vue paid the same day)

3/26 BON "completed"/accepted (cashed) my payment

4/14 BON "completed"/accepted all items in application- documents, fingerprints, background check etc (other than transcripts b/c I had not yet graduated)

4/28 Transcripts mailed

5/9 I called BON and was told transcripts had not arrived.

5/12 Called again and told the same. So I had my school email another copy directly to the lady I spoke to at the BON.

5/15 No change on my status, despite the email transcripts I sent, so I called this lady's direct line many times and no answer. I got lucky and got another guy on the phone and he said my transcripts had been in the system since 5/13 but my file wasn't updated. He was so helpful and within 20 mins I had my ATT.

5/27 NCLEX testing date. Excited to have a date! now anxious and nervous. (this was the first available.)

Moral of the story is- its a very time consuming process but BE PERSISTENT and when you think things should be there and they aren't showing up as complete on your file....... keep calling until you get someone who can help. :)
