My 2015-2016 PVT experience

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello Everyone!

My background. I graduated from my BSN program in 2015 and took the NCLEX sometime in September and failed on the first attempt in 75 questions and then took it again in January 2016 and passed in 85 questions.

Both times I used the Pearson Vue Trick (PVT) both times and it was very accurate for me.

Sep 2015: Bad Pop Up

"The payment was declined. Reason: Invalid security code. Contact your credit card company or use a different credit card."

Walking out of the testing center, my gut feeling was telling me I didn't pass and right after I did the PVT and tried paying for the test again and I got the "Bad Pop Up". The next day I found out I failed.

Jan 2016: Good Pop Up

" Our records indicated that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time."

Walking out of the testing center, I was feeling better walking out of there vs. the first time I took the BOARDS. I did NOT check right away, because I was feeling positive about it. Side note: I took the exam at 10AM and finished the exam before the optional 2 hour break. I didn't want to kill my vibe by doing the PVT, so the rest of my day I relaxed and enjoyed a nice meal, out with my family. It wasn't until 11:30 P.M. I caved in, did the trick and looked and I got the "Good Pop Up". At that moment I was happy, but also it was less than 24 hrs since I took the exam, so then I tried again at the time (11:38AM) I finished and I still got the "Good Pop Up" message after the 24 hour mark. Around 4PM I went online and saw " Exam Name NCLEX | Exam Date 1/2016 | Grade Pass "

same experience here. The first 4 times I failed it went to the CC page and on my final attempt, it said "on hold". Few hours later, I got the good pop up and that is when I passed my NCLEX.

Congrats!!! I failed once and got bad pop up. I think PVT still works most of the times. Can you please share your experiences with the exam? Writing soon in 2 days. Could use some adivce.

I took mine this Saturday, however I did the PVT and got the "hold" message. Tried it again today, still getting the "hold" message :(

Thank you, sarng! If you are testing in two days, I would say go over lab values today and tomorrow just RELAX and tell yourself you'll be a RN and pretend you are the RN in every situation and just breathe and look at the answer if it makes sense to the question/topic being asked. USE MASLOW's and ABCs

What was the end result? Pass?! or Fail? :l
