Most Known Used Drugs on NCLEX PN

Does anyone have any information on the most used drugs on the NCLEX PN? There are so many drugs to study for and it would really help if there were a listing of the most known drugs that the NCLEX gives. Thanks!!!

Hi there!

Honestly, there's no way to know which meds are popular for the test since the q-bank is only visible to the NCSBN's eyes! :coollook:

However, kaplan has a book out that lists about 280 meds that they think are popular and thus MAY show up on your exam. This link at the bottom is for the NCLEX-RN, but I think it still holds true to the NCLEX-PN as well. We both hand out the same kind of meds (except for a few that have stipulations) so I think you could benefit from this book. 280 sounds like a big number, but it's definitely smaller than our typical pharmacology nursing dicitionaries! You can check this book out at a bookstore, and probably won't even need to buy it if you just want to write them down on your own note cards.

Good luck studying! :yeah:
