Kaplan vs Hurst

Ok, I am at a dilemma on what to do and need some type of advice! So I will be taking my test once again next month. The first time I took my test I did the hurst review to brush up on my content. I liked the review and the way it broke things down for me in a simpler format. However, I didn't pass but I seemed to be close based of my packet I got in the mail. I recently also took Kaplan for the strategy part because I do not do well with test taking - I am more hands on and talking it out type person. I am a crossroads when it comes to learning my content to really have it down pack before I test again on the 13th. I don't know if I should just focus on hurst for the content or go by the Kaplan review book that they have ( which has more types of content than hurst) and do the qbanks which are all content based. or if I should just do hurst for my content and take the practice test with Kaplan utilizing the strategies. I am so overwhelmed at this point and need to be organized in my thoughts. Any suggestions??!!!

Hi there. Take this for what this is worth since I have not taken my nclex yet (next week) but it sounds like you've done your content review. And since you are saying you are not a good test taker, sounds like you could benefit from just crunching as many kaplan qbank and question trainers as you can. To get used to doing lots of questions. And when you are reading rationales you are still reviewing content too. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!
