I have fallen but I have survived.....

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi everyone. It's my first time to ask for advice here. I really need it badly... And before I proceed, I would just like to say that I admire the people here for being so supportive of one another. That is really amazing. Special mention to Suzanne who genuinely helps without asking for anything in return.

I am not ashamed to admit that I took the NCLEX last week and failed it.I cried for just ONE DAY and asked for strength from God so that I can stand up after this painful fall. Because of God, I am back on my feet and ready to start anew. Because of God I was able to recover so quickly.Just one day of crying and that's it. And I am studying again. I believe that God allowed me to experience this fall to strengthen my faith and become a better human being. Failing the NCLEX for the first time has made me realize that being able to love God not only during the good times but also the bad times is priceless. I failed NCLEX,but it's not the end of the world. There's no use crying over spilled milk.So here I am ready to face the 2nd battle.

I would like to ask for advice about the study plan that I must use for my 2nd try. I tried to study on my own during my first try but it did not work out. Will it be a good idea for me to enroll in a review center? I have read about Suzanne's plan and how effective it is....

I am the type of person who can't stand long lectures. My attention span for lectures is short. Review centers here utilize long lectures for reviewing. One center has a schedule of 9 am to 5 pm of pure lectures from Monday to Saturday! I honestly won't be able to survive that. Studying on my own works better for me.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Please guide me on what to do. I really want to pass my 2nd take..... THANK YOU VERY,VERY MUCH.

Great attitude! As Joyce Meyer says your attitude sets your aptitude so I feel more than certain that you will pass the next time.

A suggestion is if you can find out how you did on the NCLEX. It may have come down to a small area that you had a problem with and if you can direct your study, it may help in the prep for your next try. Thinking back on the exam were there areas where you definitely feel stumped?

Best of luck and keep up that Faith. If God is for us, who can be against us...right!

Hi Kris, thank you for the advice. I love Joyce Meyer :) And your quote brought a smile to my face.

Crying over this failure won't change the situation, it will just be a waste of precious time. You are correct about God,Kris.Despite the pain that I have experienced I still love him with all my heart.

God bless you. :)

:idea::idea: You'll rarely be able to make things perfect. Yet you can always make things better. You'll never be able to improve the past. Yet you can always improve right now.

Get in the habit of adding value to each moment. And those moments you enhance will soon add value to all that is around you.

Get in the habit of being a positive influence on the people you encounter. And bit by bit, your world will become a more beautiful, loving place.

The difference you make will make a difference for you and all that surrounds you. The love you give adds over and over again to the love with which your life is filled.

Use your time, your energy, your resources and creativity to produce a real and positive difference in life. It is the best investment you can make.:idea::idea:

I recently failed Nclex-rn in September. I was truly amazed when I read you post. I cryed when I first found out and that was it. I started to question GOD, "Why me?" I caught myself. Who I am to question GOD. This is a test to see where my faith is. Keep your faith. There is nothing to large that GOD fix.

I truly and honestly believe that this is an opportunity to get closer to our father.

God bless you.

I surely feel for you. Your attitude is A+!

I believe you will receive a statement with areas you can focus upon for your next exam.

I've heard great things about Suzanne's plan. You must follow it precisely though. Many who did Kaplan used her with success. If I didn't pass, her plan was my next step. I took the Kaplan course---class lectures ran 4-6 hours sometimes!

Have you taken enough time to unwind from your test? It's healthy to do so.

The very best of luck on your next phase. Believe in yourself and you WILL succeed! ;)

Thank you so much to all those who replied. You will all be in my prayers. :)

I haven't passed on my 2nd try recently. All I knew is I'll pass but after seeing the big envelop...I became disappointed...I cried for more than an hour thinking why others can pass so easily. I became depressed the whole day. I felt so embarrassed. After I woke up the next morning, I already feel ok. Good thing I have family and friends who supports me. I want to try again this December..I don't know if I'll gonna make it. But I'm praying and struggling on it. Hope I can make it this time..;)
