Nursing Students NCLEX
Published Jan 12, 2014
I am leading towards the HURTS review with only 3 weeks left to study. Any opinions in the program is very helpful. Also are you given a study plan after the live review?

I'm sorry to tell you but there are no true predictor tests for the NCLEX-RN. All I know is some people do very well with practice tests but fail the exam while others are going bananas with practice tests but pass the exam first take. If you feel so time constrained before taking the exam then you might want to consider rescheduling for the exam but if you feel confident enough then go ahead with it. Good luck! :)

Of course nothing is set in stone...however, having talked to many nurses and through pursuing this website, the general consensus has been shoot for an 85/125 for Hurst (which Hurst also tells you during their review course) and a 65% for the Kaplan q trainers. Sure, there are outliers, those that score way below a 65% on those "practice" tests and pass and those that score way above that mark and fail. I am sure nerves account for some of this... And I agree with the comment that if you feel too time constrained, I'd take it at a later date. You shouldn't go into the test unless you feel you've adequately prepared for it. I hate when people claim they just went into the exam to see how they'd do without studying. Is that how you are going to be as a nurse? Just wing it? This is the most important exam of our careers, we should be studying hard. Even if you felt prepared prior to studying, it never hurts to practice NCLEX questions or review content.
