yes because to get Hep D you'd have already gotten Hep B to start. The virus D needs B to exist too

Thanks! That's what I thought too but how bout the pt with hep B? Wudnt u want to protect him from getting Hep D?

yes u can keep both pt.in same room bcoz both pt.disease needs same precaution..

i got interested to your query so i did a little research about it. and here is what i found out;

- preventive measures: since hdv cannot be transmitted in the absence of hbv infection, the prevention of hbv infection through immunization is the best way to prevent hdv infection. for those with chronic hbv infection, the only effective prevention measure is to avoid exposure to any potential source of hdv.

so that means you can not quarantine hbv and hvd in the same room.
