failed nclex rn

Please!! dont be sad about it. I know how hard it must be. I failed last month and have to retest next month. Just keep trying and never give up. And dont forget that there is always a reason for everything.

I hear hurst is a really good source. Also get the lacharity book. I recently bought the book and i must say IT HELPS ALOT with priority, delegation, and assessment.

Keep your head held high and dont give up and continue to pray, things always happen for a reason. I also failed my first attempt so you are not alone. Im using Saunders, La Charity, exam cram and notes from this wonderful site, allnurses rock. Give Saunders another chance, it is a great review book, make sure you arent just reading the book, dont move on until you get the information, do the questions and read all the rationales. I study 2-3 hours a day reviewing content fron Saunders and doing questions. With the re-application process and waiting 45 days to retest you basically have close to 2 months to study, which is great, take advantage of every single minute you have. Start out new as if this is your first exam. The past is the past and we cant change it. Good luck

I did the Kaplan review course that is a week long. I honestly believe that without it I would have failed it! So I highly recommend it! Also, it is the one that is most similar to the NCLEX questions. Hope that helps! And good luck to you when you take it again!

@jewl I got the exam cram from B&N but you can find it anywhere. Its from pearson and its nothing but practice questions and it has a CD so you can do mock exams.

Try the exam cram. It really helps me boost my confidence and feel ready to take the nclex. I passed last month. Goodluck on your exam... I'll pray for you!

Your not alone!!! I took NCLEX last Wednesday, 265 quaestions, found out Friday that I FAILED. At that moment, I wanted to give up, I was VERY DISAPPOINTED in myself. I thought I had studied hard enough, but I guess I didn't. I have test anxiety and the moment I set down to take the exam, I felt lost for CONTENT. I am going to re-strategize my study plan and get all new study material. I too think Saunder's is a good book. This first time around I use the Saunder's Q&A cards ((really liked them)), the Kaplan Strategies and Review book, and Lippincott. I am going to purchase Saunder's and La Charity and repurchase Kaplan review book for my second time around. I haven't heard to the Exam Cram, but will be looking into it. I'm told you have to wait 45-90 days, so I think that's more then enough time to prepare. Today will be my first day back to work since I found out I FAILED. I am going to take this week off to clear my head, before I get my head back in the game and go hard on studying. Good Luck, claim it and you'll acheive it.
