BRN Eligibility Letter/Email

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi!

I was wondering if any retakers have recently reapplied to take the RN exam and received the eligibility letter from the BRN? I sent my application in at the end of April and my check was cashed at the end of May, but I still have not received the eligibility letter.

The first time (September 2013) around I got the letter within 3 weeks. I know there is an influx of applications during this time, so a delay is expected. If anyone is in the same boat as me, are you waiting to receive the eligibility letter before applying for an ATT or have you already applied for it? Please advise.

Thanks!

In CA, the BRN site says they're processing apps for checks that were cashed in May. If yours cashed at the end of May, it may be a few more days, but it should be there soon. My check cashed on May 8, and my ATT posted June 13. I was able to test June 18 (though June 16 was also available), and my results posted the 20th.

Did you wait to apply for your ATT through NCSBN after your check cashed or after you received your eligibility letter? Last time I waited for my eligibility letter and I received my ATT within an hour after I applied/paid for it.

I registered with BreEZE and Pearson Vue early in the process, and I paid my exam fee at that time. I called the BRN on June 13, and they said that my ATT was issued that day, and that the letter would be coming in the mail. I got the e-mail that night from PV.

Did you have to go through BreEZe last time? It slowed the process WAY down when the BRN "upgraded" to this and it led to a huge backlog that is starting to clear up, but with the influx of new grads in May, it slowed down again.

I registered with BeEZe at the beginning of this month. I saw that my application was "pending", but it's disappeared from my account since with no further indication of anything.

BTW, when you received your eligibility notice, was it through postal mail or e-mail?

There's nothing on BreEZe when you log in anymore? I would call the BRN if that's the case. Mine was still up, but it went from "pending" to "open", then eventually said I was an RN.

My ATT (eligibility notice) arrived via e-mail from PV (since I'd registered with them) and in the mail after I'd taken the NCLEX!

The BRN could be working on your application now, which may be why they pulled it down from view. A few days after I got my IP, they pulled the RN application and shortly thereafter, (a few days?) they issued me their ATT. Then a few days after that, it reappeared. I think it has a status of "open" and in the detail it said "pending" or something similar. That didn't change until after I'd taken the NCLEX and they'd had a chance to issue the license.

My BRN ATT letter was by email (IIRC) as was Pearson Vue's ATT.

Gotcha. I'll wait to see if I receive word by the end of this week. If not, I'll definitely call them next Monday. I appreciate all the help and info you've provided with me. And congratulations on passing the boards!! Would you mind sharing what review(s) you used to study for the boards?

So, you applied for your ATT around the same time you submitted your application to the BRN? Because I haven't applied for my ATT. I'm waiting to hear back from the BRN before I do so, just like the first time I applied.

I used Kaplan. I felt that the strategies and the Q Banks and such were very helpful. It seems like content is one of those things where you can just NEVER cover EVERYTHING- as much as I covered content, it maybe helped with one or two questions. Remembering some of the tips from Kaplan, even though I rarely used the Decision Tree, helped a lot.

Same thing is happening to me.. My reapp seemed to have disappeared from breeze kind of worrying me. Did you receive your ATT soon after?? Thanks
