Almost 2 months later and I still can't take my NLCEX!!!

So I guess I'm just ranting on this post, but I seriously need some major support. Like I'm feeling so depressed, I can't sleep and I've gained like 6 lbs. So here goes, I applied for my NLCEX-PN in early January, and did the whole process and paid and everything. I even did my mandatory credit hours, the whole shebang. Now over the past few weeks, they've kept sending me emails saying there's a discrepancy between the information on my application and what the school sent. So I addressed the issue and when I called the state board, they said everything was fine, that I just had to wait. Ok, so I wait.... fast forward to today. In the past 7 weeks, I've gotten multiple emails saying the discrepancy is still there!! I've contacted my program director, I've called the state board, I've done just about everything I can think of. And they just keep saying, they have everything they need, that I just have to wait. I graduated 3 months ago... and I feel that the more time passes by the stupider I get. I have been studying to keep up and stay in "nurse" mode, but I'm just so stressed and depressed all I want to do is cry!! Everyone else in my class took theirs and I'm the only one left... Can anyone please just give me some help? Or words of encouragement? :cry:

Would it help if I told you that I didn't take the boards until 3 months after I graduated?

I took those 3 months to study. I immersed myself in the material. And while I didn't have the aggravation of the red tape you're dealing with, I did have the added benefit of knowing the material flat by the time I took the NCLEX.

Try to turn this to your advantage. Don't get discouraged. Study a little bit every day just to keep things fresh. And keep on your state board and your school! This too shall pass.

^ I never understood students who don't study until AFTER they get their ATT. I always tell my classmates that if they started studying right after graduating, they could take their NCLEX sooner because they would have already studied.

Back to the OP: I would suggest you just drive up to the Board of Nursing and see what they say.

Ok just an update... I know, I know, super late but allnurses sort of took a back seat while I was dealing with some stuff. I finally took my nclex, on April 27th, on the 29th I found out I passed... With the minimum amount of questions and in 38 minutes flat... (Even the man in charge of the sight was in shock lol😅) and by the following Monday (less than one week after my exam) I was sitting with my supervisor scheduling my orientation... I was crazy blessed, I know people that are still looking for work. Even though it's been six months since they took their nclex, I had a job lined up before I even graduated. I'm so blessed and happy, and just enjoying life now. Thanks for you're advice... 😁😁
