240 questions in 6 hours and I feel like crying

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I just took the NCLEX today, went all 6 hours and did 240 questions. That was the longest most stressful 6 hours of my life. when I was reaching the 200 mark I was just praying for it to end. I just thank God I finished. But now I feel like I failed. I left feeling defeated and like my mind just exploded.

Did any of you go through a similar situation?? Go up to 200 questions or do all 6 hours??

I took the NCLEX today and went the entire 265 and the full 6 hours. Trust me I totallllllly understand how you felt. I truly walked out of there thinking I failed did the PVT and got the good pop up an hour later I couldn't believe it. I am holding my breath for the next 48 hours but I am pray that this trick is accurate! Did you try the trick? I am in CA where we don't have quick results

Congrats on passing. I did not try the PVT, i'm a little scared to.

I took NCLEX RN today stopped at 75. I tried also PVT and got a good pop up. Just change the Credit Card expiration date. Dont worry everything will be alright. Lets all relax and wait the quick result this friday.

I may be wrong but I believe if you run out of time they look at the last 60 questions and if you are below the passing line just once, they consider it a fail. I hope you passed though!

You are correct. Thing is, one can't know if one was above or below at any point in that %^! testing process, so....all anyone can do is hope for the best!

Good luck :)

Skip the PVT, it's a stupid game. If you get a 'good' pop up, you won't be any more relieved than before you did it, you still won't know anything for sure. And if you get the 'bad' pop up, it'll just stress you to the max. One hour after the test all any of them know is what their initial scoring was likely to be (pass or fail); with people who have gone to all 265 questions and those who run out of time, it is NOT UNHEARD OF for an initial 'pass' to become a 'fail', and an initial 'fail' to become a 'pass' later on. Your test isn't conclusive until your exam has undergone a Quality Assurance review, and anyone who doesn't wait 24 hours post-test hasn't allowed time for that. Pop ups pre-24 hours mean nothing.

Hang in there. You'll know before long :)

Your exam, at the minimum number of questions, was a clear-cut pass, or a clear-cut fail. The OP's test was VERY DIFFERENT, and if he submits credit card data it means NOTHING this early. He needs to wait until the QA review is done (which you did not do, but your results aren't likely to change). His results may WELL change.

Encouraging people to do the PVT when they are in THIS situation isn't going to give them reassurance. If he gets a 'good pop up' it doesn't mean it won't change. It can. It has happened. Getting a 'card declined' message sure doesn't relieve stress either. Better to be upset later, if it's CONCLUSIVELY a fail, rather than freak out now until official results come in.

any word yet? did you try the PVT trick?

I applied for Florida and check their BON site the day after the exam. Thanks, spend the whole day feeling depressed, but i'm hoping sooner than later I will pick myself up and try again.
