Saint Louis University SLU?!

U.S.A. Missouri

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone else is applying for their accelerated programs? Or if anyone can give some inside info about the program!

thanks

November or December. Wow thats too long. I applied many months ago :( But thanks for the update anyway!

If you look at slu nursing page it looks like they have accepted one person already. Check it out at facebook.com/slunurse. Cant wait for their decision for the rest of us.

Hey Guys! About a month left before we hear back soon! Can't wait!

How is SLU about offering scholarships?? I will be applying to SLU's accelerated program as soon as I get my letters of recommendation back from my professors. Also applied to UMSL's and will be applying to Barne's too.

Thanks!

This thread was very helpful! I just got accepted into SLU accelerated nursing program. Im glad to hear such good things about the school! i liked the comment saying that "its doable", i really needed to hear that.

Just sent my deposit into SLU! Very anxious to start. Has anyone else heard back?

Bleemme- I was also looking at those flats on campus 374, they look nice and seem very convenient.

Yes ma'am!! I have been accepted and submitted my deposit also! Congrats!!! :clpty:

BritBrat- Are you from Saint Louis? I'll be moving there from Denver so I need to look into places to live!

Yes I am from Saint Louis. I recommend looking for places that are like 15mins from SLU, because the central west end is an expensive place to live and the area around SLU is also. However, Saint Louis has a low cost of living rate. Just let me know if you need any help or have any questions. Im glad I know somebody that will be in the program with me.

For anyone who has already been accepted...is it already too late to apply? I looked at their website which states there is no official deadline. Also, would any of you be willing to share your cumulative GPA? Do you know what is the average GPA or how many students applied/were accepted in previous years? Thanks!

I don't know if it would be too late? I applied in October, because I knew that SLU was kind of on a rolling admission process. They will continue to accept students until all their spots are filled. However, they do accept like 100 people because they know that some of them will not show up. There are usually only about 65 students that end up in the program though. (those numbers could be a littler off, but that's a ball park figure) So, my advice to you would be to call SLU and ask them if they are still admitting students for May. Also, I am not sure what the average GPA is, but I do know that they take your previous degree into consideration, focus more so on your prerequisites, and your personal statement. So as long as you have above the minimum GPA requirement even if its just a 3.1, I would still apply! GOOD LUCK

Do not work while you are in the accelrated program!
