Best Nursing Program in STL?

Hello! I am looking to start nursing school in STL. I am *almost* done with my prereqs at a community college.. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with choosing a nursing program to try to get into. I'd prefer a BSN program, but would consider ADN with a bridge to BSN if it doesn't take a long time..

So my question is: what nursing program(s) would you recommend and why? About how long is the wait time to get in?

I am going to Maryville, They don't have a wait list but accept students based on your GPA. I love Maryville but have heard their nursing program can be a bit unorganized and that scares me. I am a very organized person so I know I can get through it. It is an amazing school with a great reputation.

Other options are UMSL, SLU, Goldfarb (VERY expensive), Lutheran school of nursing and then there are the CC options that have a wait list. They are usually about 2 years once applied to. Good luck with your choice!

I'm an UMSL graduate and have nothing but good things to say about the program - NCLEX pass rates are very high and faculty is top-notch. And although it's not super cheap, it IS one of the more affordable BSN programs in STL. There was no wait list when I applied back in 2004, but I'm sure that has changed by now.
