Help RT vs RN at Hinds CC

I have been accepted to both the Hinds ADN and Respiratory Technology program. I am sick to my stomach trying to decide between the two. My main problem with the RT program is that I am worried that there may not be a job avaliable to me after I graduate. Does anyone have any insight on the RT job market in central MS right now, and what new grads are making. My main problem with Hinds ADN is that its is HINDS. I have heard horror story after horror story about how the instructors there TRY and flunk people out, especially if they are not one of the "favorites" of the instructors. Can anyone speak to the contrary about this. I really don't need a pros/cons of whats better RT or RN, I've done that research. I just want to have access to a hospital job as an RT when I graduate, and I don't want to feel TARGETED by Hinds instructors in the RN program, nursing school is hard enough as it is.

resp is a cool job, much less hassle than being a nurse. however, more doors will open to you with a rn degree and dont forget about the possibility of obtaining a advance degree which is lost with resp in this state. i have heard some issues with hinds over the yrs, ranging from terrible instructors to lazy students. but you'll hear bad things from every school. i swear when i was in school i would have sworn on a stack of bibles that they were trying to flunk us out so we would re-enroll and give more $ to the college. looking back on what i know now, id still do the rn route...just more job and advanced shooling available to you overall. btw, the market is pretty poor for both feilds right now.
