New grad RN mayo clinic

U.S.A. Minnesota

Published

I'm currently in my last semester of nursing school in Texas, and have decided to start looking for a position. Texas has so many RN'S it's difficult to get a job if you have no prior experience, so I'm looking elsewhere. I'm really interested in mayo clinic Rochester, since I have family in the area. I've been reading a lot of good things about it, but was curious do they hire a lot of new grads? If I live out of state how do they handle the interview process? And when should I start applying if I graduate in May? Any advice about the process would be extremely helpful! I've been searching for any posts on the subject, but they are all a few years old and I know a lot can change in that amount of time.

I'm also curious to how this process works. :)

I just started a couple weeks ago here. An incredible facility, state of the art technology, the best benefits out there and Minnesota nice employees. I am from Arizona and moved here two weeks ago, adjusting to the weather slowly but surely. My roommate is from Texas!

Check out the Mayo Clinic website, and start applying for positions you are interested in! I know they have already offered positions out until July. Apply for as many positions as you are interested in and they will Skype interview you. Good luck!

Thanks for the help! I completely forgot about this post, so I'm just now seeing your response. I ended up getting a job offer in Iowa, thankfully I'll still be near family.

I'm glad to see they do skype interviews. I'm stunned at the price of a flight to MN!
