When does the OCCC Accelerated Program Start?

Hello!

Can anyone tell me when the Oakland County Community College accelerated program starts? There's not a lot of info about it on the website. I'm hoping it has more than one entry point.

The accelerated program has already started this year...I believe it started in May. You apply to the program as usual, those students that are selected for the traditional program can then apply to the accelerated program and they are selected based on GPA. There is not a separate selection process. Hope this helps :yawn::yawn:

I am hoping to join the 2010 accelerated starting class at OCCC. Do you know when the application deadline is? Again, there is not much information about the accelerated program on the website.

According to the website the deadline is still Dec. 15 and letters will be mailed no later that March 15th...

Classes began in May for accelerated students. however, information about it is not given out because its only offered to students who have already been selected to the nursing program. So in order to get in the accelerated program you must be accepted first. then they take 60 students who wants to apply with the highest gpa.

How does the accelerated program work? Is it shorter or something?

The program starts earlier than the traditional program and you finish in 4 semesters instead of 5 in the regular program. There is more info about it in the Nursing Handbook on the OCC Nursing Page.

Hello everyone! I am new at this chatting online stuff so bear with me. I have already submitted my application to OCCC BADNAP 2011 program. Is there anyone out there who is currently participating in that program that can offer some advice?
