Renewing my license with the new MiPlus

After reading your post I dug out my letter and went to site. Who in the heck designed this crap? I got so far and a half page error came up. So far I put in my contact info, activated my account, swore to my moral character, added my Ohio license info and got hit with attaching education stuff??? I skipped that, hit continued and pink box of error came up. Maybe the site is renewing itself as I am attempting this at 0440. I cannot figure where I need to link the pin number. I am going to try again.

Okay, this is an update. The error was due to the fact I already have a license and I applied instead of renewed. So after you go to your e-mail and confirm your account, you need to follow page 4 to 6 of the instructions and follow the pictures. Your PIN should be found in the letter they sent you.Click, Click, "application has been submitted." Wow, how anticlimactic.

Okay, the other PIN they give you after submitting is to check on your application and maybe pay then (I guess that's what it for). Tick tock, tick tock, okay still waiting, credit card in hand. Maybe this year its a freebie, hmm... Obviously this is not a one stop pay and go.

What are the MiPLUS features I can take advantage of on their site? Golly I am so excited, hold me back, whoo hoo!

This is so STUPID!!!!! okay I took a screen shot of it so they can't come back and say I never applied for renewal. They are obviously still in bed so hopefully I will get a e-mail later today saying, "pay up sucker." :banghead:

This is what I got back after emailing their help email about where the "RENEW LICENSE" option was.

Thank you for contacting the Bureau of Professional Licensing.
Nursing has not been generated into renewal yet. You will receive notification by email once they are generated into renewal.

Guess I just hate to wait.

Good Morning,

The renewal window for nurses is not yet available. You will be receiving a renewal notice with instructions, 30-60 days prior to your license expiration date.

But they sent the notices out so early! Okay I confess, perhaps I am just a little task oriented. I kept yelling at the web site, to take my money. FYI. It didn't work.

Just renewed. What a pain. With the new system you must go to your dashboard. Them to my records. Then scroll down to the bottom to your first licence (when it was issued). There is a modify and renew tab there. Click on the renew and go through the steps. The only questions you need to answer are about you moral character. Then review the info and there should be a spot to pay. It takes you to another page to pay them. It doesn't give you a receipt but takes you back to the miplus site. They will email you with your renewal in a few days then send you one in the mail. The price had really gone up this year. $123.60. Hope this helps some people. I was on hold for over and hour before a hot to speak to a person. He was very helpful but this web site is not.

Thanks Joseph, I almost forgot so thanks for posting. I went on and it took all of three minutes, but of course I had back in January spent a lot of time on the web site, yelling at it, so of course it was probably scared of me. Just like you said, I never received a receipt page I could print, it just returned me to an earlier page so I hit on my original license and printed off the screen where it said my license was active status until 03/25/2021. Very anticlimactic, very user unfriendly, and I agree, the cost was a bit of an ouch!

Extremely helpful! It looks like they added instructions at the top in orange to help to find where you're actually supposed to click to renew. I wonder what genius designed this. I did get mine renewed. I never did receive any email though about renewing.

Hi guys I am soon due for renewing my RN license , I tried to link my license to miplus account bit unfortunately I could not do that and more over there is no icon.which could help me to link the license to my account .

Good Lord I just got thru the license renewal. Couldn't have done it without your help. Who the heck came up with that insanity?
