Hello, let me start by giving you a background as to where I am coming from. I am a fireman/emt in Michigan and because of my age (37) i am looking at getting into a hospital setting rather then the firehouse grind. I enjoy it, but in all reality, I doubt i can keep up the job another 10 or 15 years. I re-enlisted into the military recently, Air force this time, I was Army for 8 years, and thier aerospace medical tech program is recognized by the state and will give me an LPN license (after paying $48 and writting a test). I plan on pursuing my RN after I complete the Air Force school which takes about 8 months. Does anyone in se michigan know who has an LPN to RN program? I asked Macomb Comm. College and they have a 'trial' class in one now. I don't want to do it online, I would rather sit in a classroom a few days/nights a week. Thanks in advance.

There may be more schools other than what I will mention, but I know SchoolCraft and Henry Ford CC have something like that, and you might want to check with the Toledo, Ohio area. I am not sure what area you live in, but Ohio cranks out a lot of LPN's and they have programs to bridge over. Good luck and be careful if you have to go "over there". Peace...

Madonna University also has a LPN program. I think its LPN to MSN, but I am not for sure. You can check it out at there website http://www.madonna.edu.

Thanks, I guess i could have mentioned my goegraphic area eh? lol. I'm in New Haven, which is over by Mt. Clemens, New Baltimore.....that area.

Check into St Clair Community College.

I have, but i cant seem to get a straigh answer from them over the phone. I tried setting an appt with the dean of nursing and never got a call back yet, going on 3 weeks now.
