Any nurse ever unemployed?

  1. I just scanned the messages and saw a note about a nurse unemployed. I find it hard to believe that would ever occur, unless maybe a remote location.

I volunteer in a nursing home, and the woman who hires nurses told me she could never find enough nurses they need. I also have space in my house for college students, and they have all been nurse training. I never knew of any who did not get a job immediately, but maybe that is also because they worked during college and were already known, just a higher pay than before.

Read around the board. Learn about the "nursing shortage" and the hoards of new grads--sometimes, even experiened nurses--who can't find jobs.

Perhaps then you won't find it so hard to believe.

All depends on what area you live in Marvin. There are plenty of places that ppl are waiting a year or more to find jobs after graduating

Are you joking? The unemployment rate of new grads in California is an estimated 47%.It is similar in other areas.

I live just off the border of St. Joseph, Michigan, and go to the Royalton Manor nursing home a few hours each week.

Then it can take many years to pay back college loans.
