Nurses Men

Ok, I may start a little trouble here, but hey.... Do you think woman should be in just as much as trouble as men for harassment? I've gone through this a few times and it seems like a joke, but if it was the other way around

There are laws against men in OBGYN and L&D?? That's ridiculous considering all the male physicians in those fields...
I missed the news on that new law...

How about the "no men in OB/Gyn , L&D etc" laws...not that I, or very many men would want to, but really, what is the danger? And if it is about modesty, where is the consideration for the other gender? Answer-( insert your stereotype here_________)
I have actually met several patients who don’t seem to mind a male OB/Gyn but for some reason don’t want a male nurse. I’m not sure why that is, and in all honesty it doesn’t make much sense to me. A professional is a professional, whether it’s a nurse or an MD.
Of course I don’t know if my personal observation of this phenomenon is generalizable.
In my neck of the woods there are plenty of male OB/Gyn’s so I’m now aware of a law prohibiting them.
When you write things like: “insert your stereotype here” I get the impression that you’re not really inclined to listen to an opponent’s argument. It sounds like you’ve already made your mind up, or have I misunderstood you?
Oh and incidentally, I actually would take a complaint from a male as seriously as a complaint from a woman.

Women should be just as accountable as men. If you are being harassed, report it to HR.

I haven't read the entire thread.
I have been in healthcare for nearly 4 decades.
The ONLY health workers that I am personally aware of who were terminated for harassment on the job were women.
