   When I was in nursing school we had a woman who was pregnant and showed up for a test while in labor!!! An instructor convinced her to go to the hospital and she was back in class the next week.

   I went into nursing as a second career. After quite a few years in my first career it was time for a change. I had worked in the medical field in the military and knew it would be a good financial decision to return to the field.

   In our facility we have 3 stations and each one is maned by a nurse and a med tech 24 hours a day.

    A good college will discourage working during any program, but especially during a program as intense as nursing. It can be done but then again, so can climbing K2, but that does not mean that everybody can do it.

    After seeing the workload in a "normal" nursing program, I have no idea how anyone can make it through an accelerated program. You have my support and admiration.
