I left a position in PACU for that very reason. I worked there 3 yrs never took vacation and had less than 40hrs of pto when I left due to the excessive low censusing. It worked out for me the last year I was there due to it being my sons senior year...
I am a ADN with 11yrs experience if I were to return to school now I would get my BSN don't waste your time with or put yourself in a position where if you wanted to continue your education you would need to first obtain your BSN.
I am already here relocated approx 2 wks ago plan to start working in March, I'm strongly considering a travel position to feel out the hospitals in the area being that I don't know anyone, so no input on the hospitals.
