I wish I would have had a part time tech job even though I was in an accelerated program. I had zero medical experience and it would have really helped getting my foot in the door when I graduated.

For Philly, I don't think you'll have as hard of a time as you would if you were a new grad but it may still be hard. Here are some to look into if I were you: University of Penn health system, Thomas Jefferson, Main Line Health. Christiana in Delawa...
I applied for almost 4 months in the philly area (where I'm from) before really branching out to literally every part of the country because I was hardly getting any bites. I'm single and no baggage, so I didn't really care if I had to move. I ended ...

I graduated this past fall. I would recommend it. It's totally doable like the person above me said. Drexel is very well known for this program and other hospitals like people that went through it, which helps in your job search.
What I did was email nurse managers of the floor I was applying to. I basically said I was the best there was and that their floor was my passion and why I was passionate about it. This gets their attention and it got me my job at my top hospital and...
So I felt I needed to write this because of all the advice and tips I received from this site during my job search. I FINALLY got a job offer yesterday after exactly 6 months after graduating. It was a very discouraging and frustrating time filled wi...
I was just offered at job in the OR as a new graduate. It is something I would love to do, plus the fact that jobs are hard to come for new grads right now, I am taking it. I am wondering say in a few years I wanted to switch to floor nursing. Is it ...
