About DennisGray

I currently work as a behavioral health nurse and considering doing my NP in psych, but not sure if I want to shell out the 35-50K to do it. I think this area of nursing gets little credit or acknowledgment as a nurse. It seems the med/surge nurses look down on us and it's unfortunate because this is the one area of nursing where we have the opportunity to have some 1-1 time with our patients and show a genuine interest in their well-being unlike nursing homes where I was used to spending just enough time with the patient to shove the medications in their mouth, and that was about the extent of our 1-1 time.
