   Upward mobility is likely better as RN vs OTA as well. BSN could lead to advanced nursing degrees whereas OTA you are stuck as OTA (maybe OT but that'll require a BA or BS first)

   Oregon market is highly saturated in metro areas as well. Also the nursing school is even more competitive than CA since economy hit hard in OR. Maybe Idaho, Arizona, or Colorado if you want stay in the west.
