  5. NICU Interview!

    Not to be a downer, but hopping to a new unit will not necessarily make you happy. I LOVE the NICU, not always the people I work with, but I truly love the NICU. That being said nursing of all kinds is hard work and that's no matter where you go.

    I start Dec6th, its a month of shadow then a month of NICU simulation school then back the floor for hands on orientation
  10. Orientation process

    As I will soon be starting my orientation I know that our program is 6-8 months if the RN is new to service and varies as you deem yourself comfortable. I am surprised your orientation is so short especially with changing preceptors.

    Yeah there are similar offerings at my hospital that's why I was confused on why the original poster was looking to obtain another degree without reaching the full potential of their current degree.
