  1. Are NP online degree frowned upon?

Surely then, if they accept 98% of people, then many people should be failing out correct? If they are taking everyone then naturally many people should be doing very poorly if their problem is truly academically robust.
  2. Are NP online degree frowned upon?

Walden's acceptance rate is over 98%. If you have a pulse and two years of experience than you get in. That makes it a poor academic institution. Diploma mills for NPs are dangerous and take away from our profession.
  3. Are NP online degree frowned upon?

I cited academic sources in my original post. Apparently you neglected to read them. For-profits are demonstrably worse academically than not for profits. This upsets you, but is fact.
  4. Are NP online degree frowned upon?

I was speaking towards for-profit colleges, not online based. There are a lot of very good reputable distance accessible programs. Walden, Phoenix, etc., are NOT some of them however.

My hospital hires NP's for the type of role you are describing.
  8. Retail Clinic thoughts?

Working at a retail clinic you will only see a small amount of conditions. It's great for picking up a few extra hours, but might be tougher if you work it full time for it long time and then try to get out into a more diverse practice.
  9. Why do NPs call associate MD their "Boss"

I call the Chief of Medicine (a DO) my boss, because he is my boss. NP/PAs at our hospital are all under the chief of medicine, not the DON. Do other people do this differently?
  10. How long after graduation for licensure

Graduated September 1st. Took and Passed ANCC October 26th. Was Licensed in NM on November 18th. Got DEA License December 17th.
  11. Narcotics and diagnostics...

"and he has pain from it all over" "As well as advice in dealing with a pushy patient?? He does pressure me to give his refills" This is worrisome. Think about it this way: if this pt was not a LPN at your facility would you be giving them these med...
