If there is only a single lumen picc I pause the ton do 2-3 flushes, the med(s) and then 2-3 more flushes. If there are lipids running I do not put anything in the line without checking with our pharmacists. Hope this helps!!!:)

Wow! I shouldn't complain when I get 5 pts!!! We normally have 4 patients and when it's crazy 5. Most of our floors at my hospital do 4 pts at night and 4-5 during the day. I do not envy any of you that have 5-8 patients. That's crazy and unsafe!
I just applied for class 113! Applications have to be in by the end of January. Clinical Bound isn't until mid May... it's going to be a long wait! Good luck to all of you!!!
