Yeah, the study guide is something like 30 dollars but it VERY VERY closely resembles the exam. I would definately recommend picking it up. It helped show EXACTLY what to study for.
Most schools that I've talked to that use the NET or something similar don't bother looking at your other degrees etc. The LPN school that I just got accepted to (woot) just looks at the NET score. And no, you cant substitute ACT or SAT for net.
