I am seeking a career change from the construction industry (12 years). I thought that I wanted to be a firefighter, but changed my mind after I finished medic school and couldn't get a job as a medic in the SF area. I enjoy the hospital environment very much and I will make a great coworker to you peeps.

The best training before nursing school had to be the route that I took. I worked in construction for 14 years as a plumber and electrician. It's almost the same job as nursing. I was a medic too.
