Technical Sergeant Richard L. Geren is a Health Professions Recruiter assigned to the 372nd Recruiting Group, Goodyear, Arizona. TSgt Geren is primarily responsible for recruiting highly qualified Nurses to fill the Air Force’s Health Professions demand. TSgt Geren singlehandedly covers over 149,000 square miles of Arizona, Southern New Mexico and El Paso, Texas. TSgt Geren is a native of Danville, Illinois. He graduated from Schlarman High School and shortly entered the Air Force in June of 2000. TSgt Geren started his Air Force career at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana as a Traffic Management Journeyman. He later advanced in his field at Kunsan Air Base, South Korea and at the Joint Personal Property Shipping Office, San Antonio, Texas. In 2004, TSgt Geren took over as a Flight Chief with the elite Honor Guard at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas before returning to the Traffic Management field in 2007. TSgt Geren came into recruiting in spring of 2008. TSgt Geren served as an Enlisted Accessions Recruiter for 2 years before taking over the Line Officer Program in late 2010. TSgt Geren moved up to serve as a Health Professions Recruiter in the summer of 2011. TSgt Geren is happily married to his lovely wife, Megan, who is a registered nurse with the Mayo Clinic. TSgt Geren and Megan are expecting their first child in fall of 2012.
