Haha I am #10 on the wait list. I am hoping they go through at least half their waitlist this year. Guess I just have to wait and see. Do you know how they will let us know if a space opens up? Do you think it would be via e-mail or snail mail?
So, here's the story. I am 10 out of 24 on a wait list for a 2nd degree program. I used up my federal financial aid during my undergrad, and will have to take out some private student loans to pay for the program (which I know is not ideal, but a gir...

Hi there! Thanks for responding! When I had my interview they said they would be interviewing about 120-130 people and would accept 64 and then another 20 or so would be wait-listed. I actually have 4 pre-reqs left; 2 I am taking now and 2 in the fal...
I have the same issue. I would love to work as a CNA/PCA, but it would mean cutting my current pay almost in half. Since my living expenses are not being subsidized by my parents/huband etc, I simply cannot afford to live on that paycheck. I have bee...

I am still waiting to hear if I got into an accelerated BSN program as well----but I won't find out until July or August. I applied in February so the wait is really starting to get to me!

The good news is, since you only have 11 credit hours, you still have a chance to get your GPA up! I would make sure you get As in your pre-reqs, and if you have time, squeeze in some fluff courses you know you can easily get an A in.

I understand how you feel. It is really difficult to raise your GPA when you already have 150+ credit hours from a previous degree. My suggestion is to take your time with your pre-reqs and try to get As in as many of them as possible.

I would go for your RN. As far as ADN vs BSN, I guess it would depend on the area and what the hospitals are looking for. I know here, the hospitals will really only hire RNs with BSNs.

I know you posted this a few weeks ago, but I just had to say your post makes me feel so much better. I have a BA and graduated with a GPA of 3.3. At the time, I thought that was pretty good. I applied to a 2nd degree accelerated program in February ...

I am in kind of the same boat, I applied for a 2nd degree accelerated program in February, but I won't find out if I get in until July or August (ugh!). I didn't apply to any other schools because (at the time) I thought I would have no trouble getti...
Hi all, I recently applied to Mt. Carmel's 2nd Degree Accelerated Program. I have had my heart set on going there for a few years now, but now I realize my GPA may not be strong enough. Does anyone have any idea of what Mt. Carmel is looking for in t...
