CONGRATULATIONS, JAYELLE!!!! This is amazing news!! Do your best and again great job -- you definitely deserve it especially after going through this whole process! I wish you the best of luck and I am definitely reapplying in the Fall! Hope to see you there later on, but please let us know how everything goes!!
Again, congratulations and I hope you have an amazing experience!!!!
Aww, thank you! Of course, I'll let you guys know how it all goes and what to expect!
Thank you! And yes, I will stay on this forum. It's such a great resource! Look for me when you apply again and I hope I can be of help to you. Best of luck and keep going for your dreams!
I wanted to thank you ALL for all of your support and best wishes throughout this entire thing. You guys have been amazing and so nice, even though we were "competing" with each other.
I got the call today and was offered a position in their new grad program! I am beyond excited and extremely grateful.
I wish you all the best of luck and recommend reapplying if you really want NTICU at UCLA, that's what I did.
Thank you and good luck to all of you!
It's been a week and I haven't heard anything. I called her yesterday and she said that she'll know within the next few days, which is what she said last time. I guess no news is good news for now.
I talked to the UD today and the topic of her hiring experienced nurses came up. She said that she usually doesn't hire so many of them, usually just 1-2 but she had a lot that applied. She said that she was hiring mostly RN's with ICU experience.
I know it seems off that she's hiring experienced nurses for the new grad program, but the only requirement for the new grad program is to be within that one year mark after graduating.
The interview wasn't too long, fairly short. They only asked a few questions...nothing about clinical scenarios, patho, or pharm. just more "get to know you" questions. They said that I should hear back in a few days. Praying for the best!
Wow, seems like you guys have a lot of experience. I did my preceptorship in the NTICU of a level 2 trauma center. Other than that, I don't have any experience as an RN. I did work as a PCA/CCP (whatever you want to call it) for 2.5 years.
It seems like you all have a strong background. I'm a bit nervous and fear that she may only hire the experienced med-surg nurses. But I'll be trying my best. My interview is tomorrow so I'm praying for the best. I'll let you guys know how it goes.
Best of luck to all of you in all of your future endeavors
Wow, I'm really shocked to hear that none of you guys got an offer. It makes me wonder if she's hiring mostly experienced med-surg nurses. Thank you all for all of your support and best wishes. This is my second time applying to her unit, the last time...I didn't even get a second interview. So I'm grateful to have made it this far. I just hope I can make it all the way. I'll let you guys know how it all goes.
I hope you all keep trying. As new grads, it's tough to find a job but not impossible! Good luck to us all!
I just got a call from her today to come in for a 3rd interview. She said that they were having a hard time making a decision and wanted me to meet the educator for a third interview.
Good luck to us all!
So sorry to hear that. Don't give up! There are lots of opportunities out there! Did you do a second interview with her?
It's been a week for me and I just can't wait to hear from her. She said she would let us know in about 2-3 weeks, but most likely 2 weeks.
Is everyone done interviewing with her?
Thanks for sharing, Jayelle!! Glad it went well!! My interview is on Friday
I did everything. I went over everything once, ten re-did all the questions until I got them all right.
Thank you! And I hope you all have great interviews. I can't wait to find out and see of any of us will be future co-workers!
All I used was ncsbn and I passed. I highly recommend it. It's affordable and very helpful.
